If you do any shopping at all on the internet, chances are you’ve used Amazon.com. They do a pretty good job of keeping your billing information private, but there are all sorts of privacy holes when you get into building wish lists and reviewing products.
How Amazon Can Expose You
If your name or other personal information shows up on Amazon.com, chances are it’s because you’re the sort of person who likes to tell people all about the things you buy. This is a good instinct! Reviews are helpful! But make sure that Amazon.com doesn’t advertise your identity by changing your account settings so that reviews don’t list your full name, and your wish lists are only visible to those you invite to look at them.
